Handwriting analysis is the process of using scientific methods to determine the origins of documentation, both written and electronically produced. The term “handwriting analysis” or “handwriting identification” is not to be confused with “graphology,” which is the process of determining the psychological state of a writer through use of his or her handwriting.
This insightful program is designed to provide security and public safety students with a foundation for understanding handwriting identification an analysis. Through multimedia, case studies and hands-on analysis of actual writings, participants in this program will learn how to identify people through their writing and they will be able to determine whether or not two documents match. This class will also touch on the aspect of Graphology. Teaching the student how to depict whether the writing they are analyzing shows trustworthiness, and initiative as well as signs of addiction, abuse, stress, and much more.
